The countdown to summer has officially begun and by cutting down on some of the foods that could cause you to look bloated, you could have a flatter stomach in no time!

Foods that will make you feel more bloated:

  • Processed Food

Processed foods such as microwaveable meals, can contain high amounts of sodium which will make you feel more bloated.

  • High amounts of Carbohydrates

Foods such as pasta, bagels and rice contain high amounts of carbohydrates, which can cause your body to store up to three times more water!

  • Cruciferous Vegetables

Believe it or not, some vegetables can also leave you feeling bloated. Certain vegetables such as broccoli & cabbage can be hard to digest for some people which could leave you with an unsettled stomach.

  • Fizzy Drinks

Fizzy drinks are a big factor of feeling bloated due to the carbonation. If you love your diet cola and other drinks, try to add ice or shake the bottle before drinking as this can help to cut carbonation down.

Melons mostly contain water which helps flush out toxins and prevent bloating.

  • Yogurt

Yogurts contain healthy bacteria which help to combat excess gas’s and helps your digestion system.
