For many people who are very young, the idea of a bucket list isn’t something that’s particularly pleasant to think about.
However, once you get to 40 plus things start changing and you suddenly think of all the things you’d like to see before you leave this world.
In today’s blog The Cheapest Life Insurance takes a look at the lists people compile and what it turns out are the most popular choices that people have.
We’ve also added a few more gained from people here in the office. Do you recognise any?
Seeing the Northern Lights
This choice is a very popular one and has found its way onto many bucket lists over the years. Perhaps it’s the sheer awesomeness of seeing one of nature’s wonders for real or whether there is some life changing point when you see that the world ultimately has some pretty nifty things up its sleeve for you to experience.
Travel the world
Travel features very highly on bucket lists. And why wouldn’t it when there are so many amazing places to see? The Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls, The Pyramids of Egypt or the Taj Mahal. Travelling to these places means you’ve stepped outside your door, your town and your country and seen what the rest of the world has to offer. This list also can include the Seven Wonders of the World as well for many people.
Walking the Great wall of China
You can see it from space and historically it really has made its mark. Many people revel at the idea of such a long wall and the many people that put efforts into building it. Is this one featured on your list?
Climb a mountain like Everest
Another popular choice or angle on this one is simply visiting Base Camp to see Everest. Many, many people dream of fulfilling this for their bucket list because it’s simply awe inspiring. Equally, if you climb the mountain you will have seen the world from its highest point. Pretty amazing really!
Become a Millionaire
Now this one is a contentious one. After all, being a millionaire is something you want but many, many people list this as their number one thing to do before you die.
There are a number of other bucket list ideals, which are pretty amazing and include buying a yacht, gamble in Las Vegas, Deep sea dive and writing a novel. Any of these catch your eye?
