As today is Blue Monday (otherwise known as the most depressing day of the year), here at the Cheapest Life Insurance we thought that we would lighten the mood, by talking about getting ready to plan your summer holiday if you are planning to stay in the UK this year!
In today’s blog we will mention some of our favourite UK holiday destinations for all of the family, as well as how you can make the most of the United Kingdom this year!
Places to visit in the UK:
There are countless things to do in London for the whole family to enjoy! Why not stay outside of London and then use the underground to enjoy all that London has to offer?
You could visit London Zoo, Madame Tussauds and the London eye, visit a museum e.g. the Tate Modern or the Science Museum, or even visit the Theatre and what the Lion King. The possibilities are endless and the whole family will enjoy every minute of it!
Do you fancy blue skies and green grass? Then why not visit beautiful Ireland?
You could visit the Guinness Storehouse which is nicknamed the ‘Disneyland of Beer’, visit Malahide Castle or you could even enjoy Temple Bar, which is situated within Dublin’s Bohemian district and is lively with pubs, restaurants and shops.
North Wales is the perfect place to visit for a family holiday, especially if you are looking for sandcastles, fish and chips and more.
If you visit Rhyl, Prestatyn and Colwyn bay you could enjoy sandy beaches in good weather, along with scrummy fish and chips. Or if the weather is not so great you could visit Welsh Mountain Zoo or the SeaQuarium on grey days. The kids will love it no matter what!
Here you could sunbathe on the Edinburgh Meadows, climb a volcano in urban park, visit a festival, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings that Scotland has to offer.
No matter what you will have loads to see and do in Edinburgh, in order to keep you and your little ones occupied for the whole holiday!
Wiltshire is a great place to visit for a great family holiday, from Longleat Safari park, where you can hand feed giraffes and even drive alongside monkeys and lions!
Or why not visit the World Heritage sites of Stonehenge and Avebury? You could even shop until you drop at the Swindon Designer outlet! With stunning surroundings Wiltshire is sure to impress!
We have just mentioned a few of the great places that you could visit this summer, but there are so many other great places to visit within the UK that it would be nearly impossible to list them all! So, wherever you plan on going for your summer holiday this year be sure to make it a year to remember!
